New to stud
Career ARC
DR SIEGLINDE MCGEE casts an expert eye over the horses embarking on a new phase in their careers in 2021
IT got off to a delayed and concertinaed start, but the 2020 racing season played host to a glittering array of stars, some of which have now retired from the track to begin their stud careers. Several of those celebrities are, of course, fillies and mares, but they also include some stallion prospects. Once again, the recruits reviewed here are the new Irish stallions for the coming season plus the Group 1 winners taking up stud duties in Britain. Other new British-based stallions and an eye-catching selection of new French sires are listed at the end.
